A non-traditional, non-denominational, interracial Christian youth Outreach, seeking un-churched youth within a 30 mile radius of Appomattox Virginia.

DESCRIPTION:

· To reach un-churched youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ within a 30 mile radius of Appomattox to create a core church.

· To strengthen the faith of youth who are committed to Jesus Christ, thereby strengthening their various churches.

· To give Christian youth an opportunity to discover and exercise their spiritual gifts.

· To improve and encourage positive behavior at home, school, and in the community.

· To provide enrichment activities, safe places, and positive role models to youth who would not otherwise experience them.

GOALS

· Create an effective home visitation team.

· Develop transportation program to cover 30 mile radius.

· Recruit adult Christian youth workers to work with First Youth

· Develop a Christian group mentoring program.

· Utilize our mobile classroom to reach youth and families in our 30 mile target area (the mobile classroom will serve as an entry point for introducing this ministry to parents and potential participants.

We realize that often our youth WANT to meet other youth and build new relationships, and come to know Jesus as Lord of their lives. But they are tired of Church as usual, or the same old youth group concept.

We must get out of our "comfort zones", and meet the youth on their level. So we've created a new way for you to get to know other people and make new friends in a comfortable, fun, low-stress, and non-threatening way!
